2006 Winter League! Notice: Total Soccer has a ZERO TOLERANCE policy for alcohol on its entire premises (including the parking lot) except for inside the Total Sports bar/grill inside the facility. The league appreciates your help in adhering to this policy. Ann Arbor Ultimate's third annual indoor winter league will be 7:30–10:30pm Fridays January 20 through March 17, with no game on February 3rd. This is because Total Soccer-Wixom has a previously scheduled major event on February 3. Games will be at Total Soccer-Wixom located at 30990 Wixom Road, about 35 minutes northeast of Ann Arbor (map). Here is an image of the field. Basic directions: Take U.S. 23 north from Ann Arbor (about 15 miles from the M-14/U.S. 23 interchange) to I-96 and head east for about six miles. Get off at exit #159 Wixom Road and head north about 3/4 mile past the Wixom Ford plant. Total Soccer will be on your right. Car pooling will be strongly encouraged for winter league. The Mitchell Field parking lot on Fuller next to the U of M Medical Center is a suggested car pool meeting point. Players may post car pooling information by using the classified link on www.a2ultimate.org. Scheduling will be in two time blocks: 7:30–9pm and 9–10:30pm on two fields. Fields will be listed as 'Left' and 'Right' on the schedule.The time of each team's game will vary from week to week, so be sure to check the schedule and come at the correct time. Games will be played inside the dome behind the main Total Soccer building (the dome connects to the main building via a tunnel). The turf is the long-cut artificial turf similar to that used in the Oosterbaan Field House and in most indoor soccer facilities. We have tested it and determined that laying out will be mandatory! Normal cleats are allowed on the turf, but metal cleats are not. The field size will be comparable to outdoor field size.
